ABOUT THIS PORTAL

This portal provides biotechnology import data sourced from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, along with trade statistics from industry sources. Designed as a strategic trade-intelligence platform, the portal offers granular import data and analytics across diverse biotechnology product categories. In addition to core biotechnology products, select biotechnology-associated imports have also been included to ensure the platform remains comprehensive, contextual, and reflective of the broader bioeconomy value chain. By enabling access to startups and entrepreneurs, it will serve as an impetus to identify the appropriate products for local innovation and manufacture using their existing capabilities. This will not only reduce import dependance but also enable strengthening India’s global competitiveness in line with our vision of "Atma Nirbhar Bharat".
